What a shocker!
Louisiana is having an election and our legislature has placed constitutional amendments on the ballot. According to ballotpedia.org, between 2006 and 2014, Louisiana had more constitutional amendments proposed and passed than any other state. Our state constitution had passed 55 amendments in those years with 73 proposed.
Since the constitution is supposed to be our state's fundamental set of laws, we would hope that our elected officials would proceed with caution when it comes to making changes to that document. The reality, though, is frightening; and, we are once again faced with propositions on which to vote.
